We are a Masterton based company who work throughout the Wairarapa, and we need an extra pair of hands to help us with a wide range of work. We are looking to pay up to $30 – $45 per hour for the right candidate.

Mainly focusing on Commercial work, our company has a varied workload each week, so you wouldn’t be stuck on new build housing sites all day, and, you would have the opportunity to learn new skills within the commercial plumbing industry. We do Plumbing, Gasfitting, Drainage, Septic Systems, Backflow testing and more. We also have a great customer base and although a lot of our work is in the commercial industry, we still have domestic customers so your work focus wouldn’t be entirely commercially focused.
We value our employees time off and we very rarely do after hours work, although sometimes this is a necessity with our commercial customers. There is nearly always overtime available if you want it and if you work a Saturday morning for us, we will pay you for the whole day!
We would be able to offer the following to the right candidate:
· Company vehicle
· Top rates of up to $30- $45 per hour
· Uniform and PPE (including wet weathers and safety boots)
· Tool Allowance
· Chiropractic appointments to keep you fit and healthy and away from injury
· All PGDB fees, apprenticeship fees and exams paid for, and we also pay you in full if you are on a training course.
· We are keen on upskilling our staff and regularly send them on courses for backflow testing and Central Heating training.
We would also be able to offer a relocation package to the right candidate if you chose to move to the Wairarapa, up to the value of $2000.00.
All we need from you is:
· To hold a current licence with the PGDB and legally eligible to work in NZ
· To be honest, trustworthy and down to earth with a good sense of humour
· To have great people and communication skills
· To be able to work independently
· To be able to problem solve situations, but also ask others when needed
· To be physically fit, healthy and motivated
· To have a driving license and clean police record
If you are a Certifying Plumber or Gasfitter we would be particularly keen to hear from you – hourly rates are negotiable – although anyone with an PGDB Qualification would be considered for the role.
